Please note that if your player is at the U18 level, currently the two options available to WVMHA players are the U16AA EK Avalanche or the U18AA EK Avalanche.  There will likely not be a U18 Bucks Tier 2 team for the upcoming season if the U16AA team goes ahead.  All players (U13, U15 & U18) wishing to play outside of WVMHA must attend the Avalanche tryouts in August and be registered with both Cranbrook Minor Hockey and WVMHA.

WVMHA Registration for players wishing to tryout in Cranbrook will also open on May 1st, 2026.

 Tryout Information:

• Players wishing to try out for Cranbrook Bucks competitive teams (U15 & U18) or Avalanche (U13) must complete Cranbrook Minor Hockey registration.
• All players at U15 and U18 levels outside Cranbrook Minor Hockey must attend EK Avalanche tryouts prior to participating in Cranbrook team tryouts.

 Late Registration:

• June 1 – July 31: $250 late fee applies
• After July 31:  No registrations will be accepted

 Please ensure families register on time to avoid late fees or missing out.

The link below is registration for players who intend on playing outside the WVMHA upon a successful tryout. The registration fee also entitles those players to any WVMHA preseason and early season ice times, practices and power skating:

 

Players who attend the tryouts but will still play in our home association, will use the regular registration link and do not need to pay the tryout fee.
