Criminal record checks are required every three years.

Important Dates

December 1, 2024

Final date to register teams for championships.
- For example = If a rec team wanted to switch to a carded team this would need to be submitted prior to December 1st.
Final date for a minor hockey Tier 2/ Tier 3/ Tier 4 team to declare their intent to compete in a higher tier for BCH Championships.
All carded teams participating in Championships must have a Safety person registered.

December 10, 2024

Final date for teams to make any adjustments to team staff to meet eligibility.
- BC Hockey reviews all carded bench staff by December 1 – MHAs will have 10 days to rectify any issues so the team can become eligible for Championships.

December 31, 2024

Final date for carded teams to withdraw from Championships.

January 10, 2025

Final day for residential waivers.
Final date for a U13/U15/U18 team that has 20 players registered on Jan 10^th is not permitted to register any further players.

January 15, 2025

Final date for APs.

January 31, 2025

Final date for IIHF.

February 10, 2025

Final date for player registration in all divisions of hockey.
Final date for all transfers.

NOTE: A female player who is dual rostered to an integrated team and a female team may participate in both championships. APs can as well as long as their league for their primary team is over/ or they have not hit their 10 game limit.
