Hockey Canada Waivers

All Hockey Canada Waivers will need to be signed through spordle in order to play games and tournaments.

 

Parents/guardians must review information for accuracy and complete all required waivers prior to the start of the season.

Windermere Valley Minor Hockey Association (WVMHA) uses TeamSnap for registration and team communications. To create a TeamSnap account, follow the steps through this link.

2024 / 2025 Season Registration Fees

2024_2025 Fees

On-ice training, league hockey, and other WVMHA programs are all included in registration.

Dates:

  • June 29 - Early bird registration closes on June 29. Register before then to save $100.
  • September 1 - Registration fee must be paid in full to participate in WVMHA programs.
  • October 15 - All fees must be paid in full.

*Note: New or transferred players will be charged the early bird pricing.

Rep Tryouts

Players trying out must be a registered player with WVMHA and pay a $55.00 administration fee prior to applying for tryouts.

WVMHA will issue a $25.00 refund to any player successful in being rostered and who has not attended a WVMHA program including pre-ice.

 

Team Fees

WVMHA averaged team fees from previous year and supporting teams in collecting funds for out-of-town tournaments, banner, year end party, etc.

Pending tournament costs and other team expenses managers and treasurers may request additional funds and or provide a refund.

Reminder: These fees are exclusive of associated accommodation, meal, and travel expenses.

Fundraising Bond

The fundraising bond is collected at the time of registration.

Each family is billed a $100.00 per player to a maximum $200.00 when registering.

By selling Purdys chocolates during the annual WVMHA fundraising drive, players and families who participate in the annual Purdys Fundraiser can earn their fundraising bond credited or refunded (or a portion thereof).

Refunds or partial credits will begin at $200 in sales and progressively rise to $500 or more. For instance, all players who sell at least $500 will get a credit for the full incentive.

Make Installment Payments

The option to pay in installments or in full is available when registering.

A player will not be registered until the first instalment has been received.

Players/families who have not paid registration fees or initiated instalments by September 1, will not be allowed to begin the hockey season.

Dates to note:

September 1 - Registration fee deadline.

October 15 - All fees to be paid in full.

Parent Respect in Sport (RIS)

One parent/guardian for each player is required to have a current Respect in Sport for Hockey Canada Parents. Players will not be considered registered until parents/guardians have completed Respect in Sport.

If moving to the Windermere Valley from another association, please provide the registrar the following details:

Refunds

Refunds are subject to a $25.00 processing fee and season proration, discretionary by the WVMHA board of directors. For inquiries email treasurer.wvmha@gmail.com.

Financial Assistance

To give young athletes the chance to participate in their favorite sports. The following organizations offer grants to help young athletes play the sports they love if assistance is needed.
