This is the equipment list for all players. For those new to the sport, places like Canadian Tire sell introductory packages with all of the equipment needed except for skates and a stick. Additionally, the WVMHA tries to do a gear swap near the beginning of the season and the local thrift store often has items too. • Hockey Helmet with full face mask (CSA approved)
• Hockey Gloves
• Jock / Jill (comes in an underlayer as part of a short or pant option)
• Socks (provided for U7)
• Hockey Pants
• Practice Jersey (provided for U7)
• Elbow Pads
• Neck Guard (BCHA approved)
• Shin Pads
• Shoulder Pads
• Hockey Bag to store Equipment

The WVMHA provides goalie equipment for the younger age groups.

Please make sure the equipment you purchase fits your child properly and is in good repair. Improper fit or disrepair could cause serious injury.
